Our story
SCG Solutions delivers cloud telephony, connectivity, business mobiles and network security to organisations across the UK. We're part of SCG, a family of established communications businesses that has been bringing people and technology together since 1965.
What makes us different is how we deliver it. Every client has a named local director — someone in your area who knows your setup and answers the phone — backed by the scale, buying power and engineering of the wider group.

How the group got here
- 1965Founded, providing communication solutions to UK businesses.
- 2002Management buyout moves ownership to the current executive team and shareholders.
- 2005Moves from reselling third-party carriers to a full calls and lines provider, billing customers directly.
- 2008Becomes one of a select group of UK companies reselling Next Generation Network calls and broadband, and secures agreements to sell Vodafone, O2 and Gamma mobile services.
- 2010Establishes a dedicated broadband and Ethernet team to underpin the connectivity proposition.
- 2012Makes its first telecoms acquisition, beginning the buy-and-build strategy.
- 2018Acquires its own cloud telephony platform, bringing the product in-house rather than reselling it.
- 2022Adopts the Cloud identity across the group as SCG.

Assurance
In practice this means the person quoting the work is the person who installs it and the person you ring afterwards. Nothing is handed to an account team that has never seen your site, which is where most of the frustration with national suppliers actually starts.
Quick Response
Two separate things, deliberately. Faults go to a desk that runs around the clock, because a line down at 3am is a working-hours problem for a great many of our customers. Account questions go to your director during normal hours, so they are not queued behind an outage.
Dedicated Support
Your director stays with the account after installation rather than handing it on. They know which building the cabling was awkward in and which supplier you left and why — the kind of context that never survives a handover to a shared support queue.
