Do I get proof that the data was destroyed?
Yes. Every device is wiped to a documented standard and you receive a certificate of data destruction for each one, itemised by device. That certificate is the point — it lets you demonstrate the handsets were dealt with properly rather than assert it, which is the difference an auditor or an insurer will care about.
Is collection free?
Yes. We collect phones, tablets and accessories from your premises at no cost, including chargers and cases, and across multiple sites where you have them. It is worth collecting everything in one go rather than device by device, since the administration of the certificates is far simpler when a batch is dealt with together.
What happens to devices that are too old to resell?
They are recycled rather than landfilled, through a licensed waste stream, and you still get the data destruction certificate for each one. That is the point worth holding onto: a handset with no resale value at all still holds the same email, passwords and files as a valuable one, so it needs dealing with just as carefully.
