IT and telecoms for leisure parks
Site-wide Wi-Fi, separate guest and back-office networks, cashless payments and phone systems for UK holiday and leisure parks.
Talk to us about leisure parksGuest expectations of Wi-Fi have often moved faster than the network on the ground. Reviews are where that becomes visible: visitors mention whether the internet worked, and people deciding where to book read it as a fair proxy for how the rest of the site is run. Alongside that sits the assumption that improving coverage means a capital project on a scale that is hard to justify, and that assumption is worth testing before it settles the question for you.
Leisure sites often sit where fixed infrastructure is limited, and a full site in peak season demands far more than most park networks were originally sized for. The starting point is the circuit coming in: an Ethernet leased line where the route can be built, superfast FTTP or FTTC broadband where it cannot, with 4G or 5G behind it for backup. Coverage is then designed around the site as it physically is, outdoors as much as indoors, rather than from a drawing of it.
Front of house and back office draw on the same connection but should not share a network. Guest access can be kept apart from reservations, card payments, EPOS and site administration, so the two are not competing for the same capacity. If any of your voice services still run over ISDN, the PSTN network closes in January 2027 and stop sell is already in force, so a move to IP is a question of when rather than whether. Whichever direction you take it, you get a named local director as your point of contact rather than a ticket queue.
How we help leisure parks
Coverage across the whole site
Wireless from the buildings out to the far end of the grounds, planned around the layout you actually have, with equipment specified for outdoor use where it is needed.
Guests and operations kept apart
One incoming circuit, two distinct networks, so reservations, payments and back-office systems are not sharing capacity with guest devices.
Cashless operation
Connectivity behind card terminals, EPOS tills and online booking, wherever on the site you take payment.
Phones that reach across the park
Evonex cloud telephony or an on-premise NEC system, with business mobiles for staff away from a desk and calls routed to whoever should answer them.
Connectivity and Wi-Fi
The circuit coming in, and the coverage it has to carry across the site.
- Ethernet leased lines from 100Mbps to 100Gbps, sized for your busiest weeks
- Superfast FTTC and FTTP broadband, with 4G and 5G for backup
- Indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi planned around the site as it is built
- Structured cabling in Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a, plus fibre between buildings
- Guest and back-office traffic on separate networks over a single connection
- Branded guest Wi-Fi login pages that collect marketing data with consent
- Guest access structured to earn revenue rather than only cost money
- IoT SIMs and data plans for connected equipment around the park
Voice, security and continuity
Keeping the phones answered and the business protected, in season and through the quiet months.
- Evonex cloud telephony or Gamma Horizon
- On-premise NEC systems
- Microsoft Teams calling via Evonex Teams Voice or Callable Direct Routing
- SIP trunking and number porting, including moving off ISDN before January 2027
- Business mobiles on EE, O2 and Vodafone for staff working across the grounds
- Cyber security covering booking, payment and guest data
- Business continuity, disaster recovery and cloud hosting for core systems
- Support on the communications side of Martyn's Law planning, with 24/7 UK-based cover behind it

Leisure Parks — Common Questions
Our park is rural and the broadband is poor. What are the real options?
Limited fixed infrastructure is common on leisure sites and it is not always the ceiling people take it for. The options are an Ethernet leased line where the route can be built, FTTP or FTTC broadband where it cannot, and 4G or 5G alongside either for backup. What is serviceable varies a great deal by location, so checking what can actually be delivered to your postcode comes before any recommendation.
Will guests streaming slow down our booking system?
That is what separating the networks is for. Guest traffic and business traffic share the incoming circuit but sit on distinct networks, so reservations, card payments and back-office systems are not left competing with guest devices for the same capacity. Sizing that circuit for your busiest weeks rather than your average ones does the rest.
Can guest Wi-Fi bring in revenue rather than only cost money?
It is one of the reasons parks look at it seriously. The login page can capture guest details and marketing consent for campaigns out of season, and access can be structured in tiers, with a standard level included and a premium level for guests who want more. Both depend on the underlying coverage being dependable first, which is where the work starts.
Does outdoor Wi-Fi cope with British weather?
Equipment installed outdoors is specified for outdoor conditions, so rain in itself is not the interesting problem. The harder part is that open ground behaves nothing like an office: distance, buildings, foliage and parked vehicles all sit between an access point and a guest, and some of that changes through the year. That is why outdoor coverage has to be designed from the site itself rather than a floor plan.
