Business in Liverpool
Liverpool runs on the river and on what has been built around it since. The port and the freeport zone at Seaforth handle container and bulk traffic at national scale, with logistics and distribution filling the corridor towards Warrington and the M62. In the city itself the growth has been in life sciences around the Knowledge Quarter, digital and creative firms in the Baltic Triangle, and a visitor economy — cruise, football, music — that fills hotels and restaurants in a pattern nothing else quite matches. Two very different kinds of business, and the historic buildings much of the creative sector occupies are the harder half to wire.

Liverpool — common questions
Our Baltic Triangle office is in a converted warehouse. What can we get?
It depends on the building rather than the postcode, and in that part of the city the two diverge sharply. Full fibre availability across Liverpool is good, but a converted warehouse depends on how the landlord ran the risers, and shared buildings sometimes have one connection carved up between tenants. We check the specific address, because a neighbouring unit is not evidence.
We handle freight through the port with overnight shifts. Does support cover nights?
Fault reporting runs around the clock through the group desk rather than a voicemail box picked up at nine, which for anything working to vessel or haulage schedules is the part that matters. Account questions still go to your director in normal hours. The two are deliberately separate so an overnight fault is not waiting on somebody who is asleep.
